| "Sovereign Lord, who didst make the heaven and the earth and the sea and everything in them" (Acts 4:24) |
| One of the beautiful things about Celtic spirituality, and which has remained a constant element of Irish Catholic spirituality, is its love of nature. This deep affinity and love for the natural world reflects the sense of God's emminance in His creation. There is a feeling of being at home with this world and the other world, between which there is little or no distinction. I find this sense of mystery expressed well and so poetically in the Gaelic saying: Tá tír na nÓg ar chul an tí; tír álainn trína chéile (The land of eternal youth is behind the house, a beautiful land fluent within itself.)
To behold the splendor of God's Creation in the spirit of thanksgiving and praise is a wonderful way to pray and honor Him. This gratitude to God for His wondrous works is a grace in itself, and when we consciously give Him thanks and praise, a floodgate of graces opens into our souls. If we can think of nothing else to say when we are in awe of His works, let us say, "Thank You Father, I love You!" Let us thank Him through the Name of His Son Jesus Christ through whom all good things come to us. I will be adding landscape and marine life pictures later. For now I hope you enjoy these beautiful astronomy images. If you love star gazing and enjoying the glorious work of our Heavenly Father's Hand, then I'm sure you will.
